Vaccine Update:
Currently, the only location in Plaquemines Parish is Delta Drugs in Port Sulphur that is distributing the vaccine. We encourage our residents who are 70+ years old or who meet the other requirements provided by the Governor to make appointments with them or other pharmacies in the metro area to receive the vaccine.
Here is the link of all the locations throughout the State that are distributing the vaccine: https://ldh.la.gov/covidvaccine-locations/
Gov. Edwards has extended the Modified Phase 2 Order until February 10th and recommends limited exposure to others outside of your household due to the high community spread over the holidays.
The parish's percent positivity over 5% will continue to affect stand-alone bars. Stand-alone bars are called to close to indoor consumption, can allow outdoor seating up to 50 people, seated and spaced out and masks mandated.
We urge all residents and businesses to please continue to follow all Executive Orders set out by the Governor and all CDC suggestions and rules including wearing face masks/covers as well as social distancing.
