Mission
The Department of Human Resources is responsible for planning, managing, and directing personnel management for Plaquemines Parish Government.
The department handles benefits administration (Health, Dental, Vision, and Life), employee relations (grievances), employee training, Parish compliance with state and federal employment laws, Workers Compensation and Jones Act claims handling and management. Human Resources aids in the formulation of administrative policy development, and advises the Parish government on all matters affecting human resources.
Additional Duties
In addition, the department handles risk management for Plaquemines Parish Government.
