3rd Annual Senior Citizens' Day Takes Place In Belle Chasse

The 3rd Annual Senior Citizens’ Day took place in Belle Chasse Wednesday, April, 11, 2012. The event was hosted by District Attorney Charles J. Ballay and had speakers from organizations throughout the state. The Attorney General’s Office, the Fire Department, the Governor’s Office of Elderly Affairs Home and Community Based Services, and the United States Secret Service had representatives on hand to discuss a variety of topics. Plaquemines Parish residents in attendance learned about fire safety, aging and disability, fall prevention, and identity theft prevention.
