President Nungesser Speaks at Algiers Economic Development Luncheon

On Wednesday, April 4, Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser spoke at the Algiers Economic Development Foundation’s quarterly luncheon. He spoke on the economic impact of regional participation. His main points included the importance of the growth of the coal industry in Plaquemines Parish along with plans to relocate the railroad from Hwy 23 to better service the area.

During the question and answer section, New Orleans Councilmember-at-Large Jacquelyn Clarkson, thanked President Nungesser saying, “I would like to thank you, on behalf of this region, for standing up for this area during times of difficulty and for everything you do on a daily basis.”
