River Bend Family Day

Residents of Riverbend Nursing Home celebrated Family Day on Saturday, April 14. Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser was on hand along with the Plaquemines Parish Health Department and the Plaquemines Parish Tourism Department. 

The Health Department gave residents information about high blood pressure, strokes, risks with smoking, and other valuable health information. The Health Department also spoke with family members about the Plaquemines Parish Emergency Plan and pet evacuation. Director of Economic Development Stan Mathes was at the event to hand out tourism brochures and to talk about upcoming community events with residents.
